PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance method for an elevator control device capable of appropriately renewing elevator control software. SOLUTION: When correcting and changing the elevator control software, the corrected and changed elevator control software is transmitted from a control computer 4 to a memory 14 via modems 5 and 10 and a public line 3 at site so as to be renewed and stored. A check means 15 checks the soundness of the elevator control software renewed and stored in the memory 14, when it is transmitted normally, an arithmetic operation means 16 operates and controls the elevator based on the corrected and changed elevator control software.
