PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner constituted of a refrigeration reversible cycle provided with a bypass passage capable of preventing freezing in an indoor side heat exchanger upon cooling operation when an outdoor air temperature is low while capable of using the same as a power save bypass upon usual cooling and heating operation. SOLUTION: The first bypass passage A, equipped with a first solenoid valve 6 and a first capillary tube 7 for regulating a flow rate, is connected to the outlet side of an outdoor side heat exchanger 3 and the suction side of a compressor 1 while the second bypass passage B, equipped with a second solenoid valve 8 and a second capillary tube 9 for regulating the flow rate, is connected to the outlet side of the compressor and the suction side of the same or between the connecting part of the first bypass passage and a four-way valve 2. A temperature detector 10 for detecting the temperature of the indoor side heat exchanger is annexed to the indoor side heat exchangers 5a, 5b respectively and when the temperature of the indoor side heat exchangers, which is detected by the temperature detectors, is lower than a predetermined temperature upon cooling operation when an outdoor temperature is low, the first solenoid valve and the second solenoid valve are opened. |
