PURPOSE: A projection apparatus is provided to diagnose empyema by using a diagnosis lamp based a visible ray harmless to human being, without sacrifice of a large space such as a darkroom. CONSTITUTION: A projection apparatus comprises a body(12) in which a diagnosis lamp(11) is mounted and a casing(13) containing the body(12). The body(12) and the cashing(13) are made of metal or plastic with corrosion resistance. The cashing(13) in which the diagnosis lamp(11) is operated, forms a darkroom by being inserted a face of a patient to be inspected into an opened surface thereof. A monitor device, which is connected to the cashing(13), monitors the condition of the patient to be inspected. The diagnosis lamp(11) is a pair of visible ray lamps. The diagnosis lamp(11) may be disconnected from the cashing(13) and is disposed on a separate body that is mounted on a bottom portion of the cashing(13). The diagnosis lamp(11) is supported by a lamp supporting member(17) which is mounted to allow of adjusting its position on the body(12). The lamp supporting member(17) includes a lamp fixing member(18) which allows detachable of the diagnosis lamp(11) therefrom. The diagnosis lamp(11) is inserted into mouth of the object to be inspected. The monitor device is a projection mirror(21). The monitor device is a polaroid camera. The monitor device is a CCD(charge coupling device) camera which is mounted within the cashing(13). On the inner circumference surface of the opened surface of the cashing(13), a contact member(15) made of an elastic material is provided.
