PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene-based resin composition for a film, capable of providing the film having excellent stiffness, strength, slipperiness, and properties for opening the mouth of a bag, and further to provide the film obtained by forming the composition. SOLUTION: This polyethylene-based resin composition for the film comprises the following components (A) to (C): component (A): 100 pts.wt. copolymer of ethylene and a 3-12Cα-olefin, produced by using a metallocene catalyst and having the following characteristics (A1) to (A2): characteristic (A1): 0.3-15 g/10 min melt flow rate; and characteristic (A2): 0.925-0.945 g/cm3 density; component (B): 0.03-2.0 pts.wt. inorganic compound particles having the following characteristics (B1) to (B2): characteristic (B1): 0.1-7.0μm average particle diameter; and characteristic (B2): <=6% water content; and component (C): 0.10-0.50 pts.wt. fatty acid amide having the following characteristics (C1) to (C2): charcicteristic (C1): 60-80 deg.C melting point; and characteristic (C2): <=20 number of carbon.
