PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluoroplastic coating agent which can form a uniform film without pinholes at relatively low temperatures and is excellent in dispersion stability, and a method for preparing the same. SOLUTION: The coating agent is prepared by dispersing a fluoroplastic having an average molecular weight of 10,000-1,500,000 in the form of fine particles having an average particle size of 10μm or less in a solvent composed primarily of dichloropentafluoropropane by means of a high-pressure homogenizer treatment.
