FILM-FORMING COSMETIC COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition which can be removed by hot water and has fine resistance against cold water at the same time. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition consists of a composition containing a film-forming polymer and a thermal transition agent which undergoes the change of the state at a transition temperature Tt selected from the temperature range of 25 deg.C to 80 deg.C in a physiologically permissible medium. The above thermal transition agent is insoluble in water held at a temperature below the above transition temperature Tt. The composition containing the above film- forming polymer and thermal transition agent in sufficient amounts can form a film of which the resistance (Rc) against hot water (40 deg.C) is less than 15 min at the temperature of keratin substance and the resistance (Rf) against cold water (20 deg.C) is Rf-Rc>=8 min and so the composition is applied to the keratin substance as a cosmetic care or a method of makeup for keratin substance.
