PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a louver unit bringing about a reduction in deformations, such as torsion, camber, etc., which are caused to a blade when the upper and lower frames of a mounting frame are moved in the direction opposite to an in-plane one. SOLUTION: In the louver unit, the mounting frame 6 is mounted with a blade unit 7 wherein the blade 21 is mounted on a blade unit frame 20, the longitudinal and upper frame members 22 and 23 of the unit frame 20 are respectively fixed to the longitudinal and upper frames 12 and 10 of the mounting frame 6, and a lower frame 11 and a lower frame member 24 are coupled in such a manner as to be able to slide in the in-plane direction. Consequently, the deformations, such as torsion, camber, etc., of the blade 21 are reduced because a great force does not act on the blade 21 when the frames 10 and 11 are moved in the direction opposite to the in-plane one.
