PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket for a door lock allowing a lock bar to move back easily even if an external force is applied to a door frame in an earthquake or the like, without lowering its appearance. SOLUTION: The bracket 63 for a door lock includes a recess provided in the opposite surface portion of the door frame to the door lock; a grout cover 35 having a lock bar access space 37 open oppositely to the end face of the door and fitted into the recess with a gap therebetween in the vertical direction of the door frame; a strike 47 having a door lock access hole 49 where the door lock access space 37 in the grout cover 35 is open, and being integrally secured to the grout cover 35; and a pair of upper and lower flexible stays 51 and 51 each secured to the outer surface 41 of the bottom plate of the grout cover 35 at one end and to the door frame at the other end and holding the grout cover 35 in the recess such that a gap and a clearance form between the strike 47 and the opposite surface portion and between the outer surface 41 of the bottom plate and the bottom surface of the recess.
