PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return a sheet to a hopper without skewing the sheet, to satisfactorily supply the sheet to a printer from the hopper, and to realize rationalization. SOLUTION: In this sheet feeder, a sheet feeding roller set 13 having a sheet feeding roller 28, a separation pad 29, a separation pad holder 32 and a first sheet return lever device 14 is disposed on one end side in the sheet width direction in a sheet feeding route K for feeding the sheet S to the printer from the hopper 16, while only a second sheet return lever device 15 is disposed on the other end side in the sheet width direction in the sheet feeding route K.
