<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner for fuel oil that has excellent cleanliness of the intake system and the inside of the combustion chamber in the internal combustion engine, and additives for fuel oil. SOLUTION: This cleaner for fuel oil comprises a polyether (A) represented by the following general formula (1) H2N (C2H4O)m-(XO)n-H (1) (wherein X is a 2-4C alkylene; m is an integer of 1-3; n is an integer of 20-50). The polyether (A) has a weight-average molecular weight of 1,300-3,500, a hydroxyl value of 15-40, a solubility parameter (SP value) of 8.8-9.4, a HLB value of 2.5-6.0, a viscosity of <=700 mm2 at 40 deg.C and a chlorine content of <=10 ppm.</p> |
