PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for a refrigerant recovery vessel securing the safety of the workers and persons in the circumference, and suppressing the dispersion of once-recovered fluorocarbon to minimum by preventing the breakage beforehand, even if the recovery vessel is overfilled with the recovery refrigerant and exposed to danger of breakage. SOLUTION: This valve for the refrigerant recovery vessel is characterized in that a relief valve 11 is installed in a valve element 1 having, at least, a liquid phase filling part 2 and the relief valve 11 has an air vent path being opened by an abnormal pressure in the recovery vessel. The relief valve 11 comprises a housing having an opening part in the bottom face, a spring being installed in the housing, and the valve element being slidably inserted in the housing, closing the opening part by being pressurized by the spring at all times, and opening it by the abnormal pressure in the recovery vessel. This valve is characterized in that a single or a plurality of air vent paths are formed on the upper half part of the housing and a confirmation chip 18 is jettingly fitted therein.
