METHOD FOR PRODUCING COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unevenness in color density for every line without lowering the production efficiency when a color filter is manufactured by applying each of coloring inks on a substrate with a black matrix by an ink jet system. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a color filter in which ink jet heads each with many orifices are used and coloring ink is imparted from orifices to the top of a substrate while moving the substrate relatively to the ink jet heads to patternwise color a specified part of the substrate, ink passages 2 are allowed to diverge from one piezoelectric element 1 in such a way that coloring ink 3 is dropped through a prescribed number of orifices and coloring ink is dropped on one stripe pattern 5 from one orifice in each of plural piezoelectric elements 1 so as to uniformize the amounts of coloring inks dropped on stripe patterns 5. Unevenness in color density for every line can easily be reduced without using many ink jet heads.
