<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the quantity of light of an exposing unit comprising light emitting elements arranged in array and to form a high definition latent image using the exposing unit. SOLUTION: The exposing unit comprises a light emitting element substrate where an array of a plurality of light emitting elements is formed on the same basic material, and means for focusing light beam emitted from each light emitting element on the surface of an image carrying body wherein means for condensing light from the light emitting element array only to a plane substantially perpendicular to the direction of the light emitting element array is provided between the light emitting element array and the focus means.</p> |
