PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually operated sealing tool for manually sealing superposed ends of a plastic band, a seal member, and a joint. SOLUTION: A manually operated caulking tool for locking and fixing a seal member onto superposed ends of a plastic band has such a special structure that the caulked seal member and the superposed ends of the plastic band have a wave-like shape, whereby it is so designed that the superposed ends of the plastic band are not loosened mutually or disengaged from each other under the influence of a pulling force applied in an axial direction. Further, this invention relates to the seal member having a special structure or a special shape and to the finally sealed joint formed or defined between the seal member and a joining part at the superposed ends of the plastic band.
