PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone having an organic EL panel which can further reduce the thickness of the main body. SOLUTION: In the mobile phone having an organic EL panel for information display assembled in the chassis as the outer frame of the main body, the organic EL panel has a specified organic EL layer and first and second transparent substrates disposed on the light emitting side and on the back face of the organic EL layer, each substrate having a transparent electrode formed on the face opposing the organic EL layer. The first transparent substrate disposed in the light emitting side of the organic EL layer is partly exposed to the outside of the body to form the information display screen and is directly fixed to the chassis.
