PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber excess length storing tray where an optical fiber is easily stored and swelling out of the optical fiber outside a tray main body caused by floating up of the optical fiber is surely prevented. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber excess length storing tray which stores an excess length part 2a of the optical fiber 2 used in optical communications, an optical fiber storing chamber 1e which is formed into an annular shape and whose upper surface is opened, plural inside projecting pieces 1i which are provided so as to project from the inner peripheral side opening edge of the optical fiber storing chamber 1e toward the direction of the optical fiber storing chamber 1e and plural outside projecting pieces 1h which are provided so as to project from the outside peripheral side opening edge of the optical fiber storing chamber 1e toward the optical fiber storing chamber 1e side are provided, and moreover, the tip end of the inside projecting piece 1i is mutually lapped with the tip end of the outside projecting piece 1h in the adjacent direction of respective projecting pieces 1i, 1h. Thus, the optical fiber 2 is easily stored and moreover swelling out of the optical fiber 2 outside the tray main body 1 caused by floating up of the fiber is surely prevented.
