摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and highly reliable liquid crystal display device which is formed by adhesively fixing two electrode substrates having alignment layers with excellent assembling precision using a photo setting resin composition so that the alignment characteristics of a liquid crystal is not damaged without damaging the alignment layer and to provide a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A sealing material consisting of the acrylic photo setting resin composition containing a spacer material for gap adjustment is interposed between an electrode substrate having the alignment layer and having a polysilicon TFT element formed on a transparent substrate and an electrode substrate having an alignment layer and having a color filter formed on a transparent substrate. And a sealing part is subjected to necessary gap adjustment by pressing and irradiated with light having 350-780 nm wavelength in the state that the sealing part is pressed or non-pressed to cure the sealing material and adhesively fix the two electrode substrates having the alignment layers. Finally, the liquid crystal is sealed between the substrates to obtain the inexpensive and highly reliable liquid crystal display device.
