PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dipped-beam headlight measuring apparatus which can accurately find out the cut-line and elbow point in the distribution of luminous intensity of the dipped-beam headlight for automobile and can measure an ECE type dipped-beam headlight of extended regulation. SOLUTION: The dipped-beam headlight measuring apparatus comprises means 3 for condensing the distribution of luminous intensity of a dipped-beam headlight and detecting the horizontal part M of the cut-line thereof, and means 4 for detecting the rising line of the cut-line. The horizontal part detecting means 3 comprises three sensors arranged longitudinally in series on a sensor substrate 1, i.e., first, second and third sensors 3a, 3b and 3c for detecting the horizontal part. The rising part detecting means 4 is provided with an imaginary elbow point, i.e., a fulcrum 7, on the horizontally left side of the second sensor 3b while being spaced apart by a specified distance therefrom. First and second rising part sensor arrays 5, 6 constituting the rising part detecting means 4 are arranged on a rotary board 2 rotatable upper leftward about the fulcrum 7 within a specified angular range.
