PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely select the place to construct a container terminal. SOLUTION: This floating body type container terminal comprises a floating body 1 having a sealed space 1f between a deck 1a and a bottom 1b, and being moored on the sea, a connecting bridge 2 for connecting the land and the floating body 1, a floating body internal storing device 3 mounted in the sealed space if inside of the floating body 1 for storing containers, a conveying carriage 4 circulating and traveling on the deck 10 of the floating body 1 and the inside of the floating body if, for conveying the containers 13 between a load chassis 6 and the floating body internal storing device 3, or between a container crane 8 and the floating body internal storing device 3, a carriage elevating device 5 for elevating the conveying carriage 4 between an upper part of the deck of the floating body 1 and the inside of the floating body, a container crane 8 for loading and unloading the containers to a ship, and a container transferring machine 14 for moving the container between the load chassis 6 and the conveying carriage 4.
