PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly member not providing a limitation to the shape of a temporary structure to be built and facilitating the assembly and disassembly. SOLUTION: This column member 11 comprises a hollow round pipe 3 and a connection member 4 fixed to the outer periphery of the hollow pipe 3. The connection member 4 comprises a top part 5 having an outer peripheral shape formed in a regular octagon, a bottom part 6, and side parts 8 covering the side faces of the regular octagon formed integrally with each other. Cutouts 8 extending continuously from the top part to the side parts are formed in the top part at each side of the polyhedron.
