PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition excellent in preservation stability (caking resistance). SOLUTION: This detergent composition includes (I) particles including surfactant and (II) particles including (a) 50-99.9 wt.% of a chelating agent having 3-5 carboxyl groups in the molecule, 600 or less of molecular weight and 6-13 of chelate stability constant with Ca2+ and (b) 0.1-50 wt.% of one or more compounds selected from a carboxylic acid, a polycarboxylic acid or their salt, an alkylsulfate or a polyoxyalkylene alkylsulfate or their salt, and having 20-70% of an average degree of neutralization of anionic group in the molecule.
