METHOD FOR ESTIMATING COKE STRENGTH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for estimating the strength of coke accurately. SOLUTION: When coke is produced by burning a compound coal obtained by compounding many kinds of coals for coke making, the strength of coke in a compound coke which is obtained from the compound coal is estimated with an estimation formula derived via statistical method from groups of parameters including VMF which is calculated by the formula (1) using a compounding ratio (Xi), a maximum degree of fluidity (MFi) and a degree of carbonization (R01) of each coal for making coke. VMF =[[ΣFi×Σ(Fi×Roi2)-(Σ(Fi×Roi))2]/(ΣFi)2]0.5 (1) (in the formula (1), Fi= Xi×MFi).
