PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for producing packets of cigarettes, which is designed to eliminate such disadvantages that trouble is involved in arrangements for adjusting respective members so as to completely cooperate with all members of adjacent conveyors and further that these arrangements must be repeated at each time when the size of a packet is varied and, accordingly, the stoppage of the operation of a machine is caused to extend over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The machine (1) for producing packets of cigarettes (2), each packet (2) having a group (3) of cigarettes enclosed in packaging materials (5, 6, 7), has a large number of conveyors (12, 13, 30, 31, 35, 38, 41, 47, 50, 54). Each conveyor has a predetermined number of members (18, 19, 33, 45, 37, 40, 43, 49, 53, 56) which are engaged with the group and/or the packaging materials and which cooperate with the members of the adjacent conveyors. The number of members of each conveyor is equal to the number of or a common divisor of members of each adjacent conveyor.
