The water removal system is for a turbine with stator vane rings (10-12) in the vane carrier (2), in which the stator vanes (3-5) are fixed. The carrier includes at least one water removal collection groove (16, 17) covered by the directly adjacent ring cover (18, 19) so that a gap (20, 21) for the entry of the condensate is formed between the cover and the carrier.
