PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a hollow structure having a hollow part of a desired shape. SOLUTION: The hollow structure having an outer tube body 10 and an inner-tube foam provided on the inner peripheral wall surface 10n of the outer tube body 10 is manufactured by this method of manufacturing the hollow structure. The method has a process wherein a core 20 for forming the hollow part of the inner-tube foam is inserted into the outer tube body 10 and a formable base material 12 to be the inner-tube foam by foaming is disposed between the inner peripheral wall surface 10n of the outer tube body 10 and the outer peripheral surface 20f of the core 20, a process wherein the formable base material 12 is foamed to form the inner-tube foam between the inner peripheral wall surface 10n of the outer tube body 10 and the outer peripheral surface 20f of the core 20 and a process wherein the core 20 is contracted to be taken out from the inner-tube foam. Therefore the core 20 is easily taken out and the degree of freedom in the shape of the hollow part formed in the inner-tube foam is enlarged.
