PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle device capable of preventing a spring from damaging when a draw bar slides even if a main spindle is rotated at a high speed. SOLUTION: In the main spindle device 1 having the main spindle 4 supported rotatably, the draw bar 2 housed slidably in the long hole 28 along the shaft center of the main spindle 4, and the spring 6, which is housed in the long hole 28 and energizes the draw bar 2 in one direction, the long hole 28 is hermetically sealed and charged with lubricant. When the main spindle 4 is rotated, the lubricant is pressed outward by centrifugal force. This can prevent the lubrication of a belleville spring from becoming defective.
