PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat for placement around wetting parts which is fixed in tight contact with a storage cabinet, etc., including a washstand or sink by having a bent part to be bent to the front surface side of a mat body at its edge, and in which splashed water or dripping water, etc., are absorbed. SOLUTION: This mat for placement around wetting parts has the bent part 2 on one long side of a kitchen mat 1 having a rectangular shape. The kitchen mat 1 has a kitchen mat body 3 consisting of needle punches on its front surface side and is formed with a non-skid layer 4 having vacuum adsorptivity on the rear surface side. The kitchen mat 1 is placed on the floor surface of a kitchen and pressure is lightly exerted thereto in the state that bent part 2 is abutted against the flank 8b of a kitchen unit 8, by which the kitchen mat is attracted and fixed to the floor surface and the flank 8b. The problem that the water and dirt accumulate in clearances is solved and the splashing water, etc., are absorbed in the kitchen mat 1.
