PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open showcase where receptacles for plugs to which the power source plugs of illuminators of respective shelves are connected can be disposed cost-effectively without restricting the degree of freedom in the height adjustment of the shelves and without reducing merchandise displaying areas on the shelves. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 4a continuing in a vertical direction are formed on the rear surface 4 of a merchandise display chamber 10, and plug receptacles 40 are disposed at the parts 4a. The depth of the parts 4a is set so that the apexes 30a of the power source plugs 30 inserted to the receptacles 40 may be flush with the rear surface 4 of the chamber 10.
