PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a material cost by decreasing a photocatalyst of a deodorizing device for vehicles which decomposes the odorous materials adsorbed with an adsorbent with the photocatalyst. SOLUTION: A dust collecting and deodorizing unit 20 is housed in an air conditioner (deodorizing device) for vehicles and the adsorbent, such as active carbon powder, to adsorb the odorous materials in ventilation air and the photocatalyst, such as titanium dioxide, to decompose the odorous materials by receiving the light of a UV lamp 24 are deposited on a deodorizing filter 23 (carrier member) of this unit 20. The ratio of the photocatalyst to the total amount of the adsorbent and the photocatalyst is 1 to 10 wt.%.
