PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a novel apparatus capable of effectively working even a material cut into small pieces such as residual pieces cut into uniform cut lengths in, for example, a precut working facility or a building site of a timber to a sawdust powder. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for manufacturing the sawdust-like powder particles comprises a material casing 2, a cutter unit 3 provided oppositely to a nose bar opening 23 opened at a part of the casing 2, thereby working a treating material W supplied into the casing 2 to a sawdust powder state by the unit 3. Thus, the apparatus 1 can receive material pieces of small piece state as the material W, and receives the material W by pressing actions from at least two directions to an operating part of a cutter body 30 of the unit 3 in the casing 2.
