PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cover for a sewing machine which covers the movement area of a needle or a cloth and which is provided with a variously devised peripheral structure. SOLUTION: An embroidery frame 4 to be attached/detached to/from a device main body 2 is arranged, it frame 4 is relatively horizontally moved concerning a needle 81 and, then, the cloth attached to the embroidery frame is sewn in the sewing device. The device is provided with the safety cover 3 for covering the movement area of the embroidery frame 4 and the safety cover 3 is provided with a guide part 69 for guiding when the embroidery frame 4 is attached to the device main body 2.
