APPARATUS FOR TREATING OIL-BEARING WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating plant oil-bearing water wherein wastewater containing plant oil of a high concentration is directly biologically treated without pretreatment, the method is strong against change of a load and generation of an odor and excess sludge can be suppressed. SOLUTION: In wastewater treatment for treating plant oil-bearing water, the treatment can be achieved by a PH adjusting means 2 wherein a PH of the wastewater is made almost neutral; a biologically treating means 3 comprising a means of a plurality of stages wherein an oil-decomposing bacteria is added to the waste water of which the PH is adjusted and treated under an aerobic condition; a water distribution filter bed means 10 comprising a filter bed means 100 wherein a carrier is fixed by at least one of the biologically treating means 3, an aeration means 101 for biologically treating under aeration, and a circulation and water distribution means 102 for distributing a part of treating water in the aeration means 101 to the filter bed means 100; a precipitation means 4 for separating the waste water treated by the biologically treating means 3; and a return means 7 for returning a precipitate of the precipitation means 4 to the biologically treating means 3.
