PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems given by a conventional empty can press as that: pressed figures are not uniform,; the empty cans become bulky due to their non-uniform thickness after pressing; and recovering, transportation, and administration in a recycling work are difficult. SOLUTION: An empty can is fed between a press fixing plate (113) and a press slider (110), a pressing pressure is exerted in three stages, the pressed thickness of the empty can is uniformized, and the pressed empty can is discharged through a discharge port (112) provided on a base bench (114). Thus the pressing capacity is remarkably improved.
