PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage to an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonograph body in attaching/detaching the ultrasonic probe and to shorten the interruption time of inspection when replacing the probe. SOLUTION: This ultrasonograph comprises the ultrasonic probe 3 transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, and an ultrasonic signal processor connected to the ultrasonic probe 3 through a connector part 8 to construct an ultrasonic tomographic image. In this case, a supply power on/off switch 9 for switching on/off supply power from the connector part 8 is provided on the side of the ultrasonic probe 3.
