PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attenuated gene recombination vaccinia virus having high immunogenicity against pathogens other than vaccinia virus, and a gene recombination vaccinia virus strain DIs which is an active ingredient of the vaccine. SOLUTION: This virus is gene recombination vaccinia virus strain DIs that has a polynucleotide encoding an exogenous antigenic protein in a non-essential gene region of the chromosomal DNA, and expresses the antigenic protein. The other objective vaccine is vaccinia virus vaccine containing the virus as an active ingredient.
