PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anyone to quickly perform accurate lens positioning operation by reviewing a lens cutter to simply and quickly perform the positioning operation of putting two cutting end portions in the state of ending cutting simultaneously. SOLUTION: This lens cutter is provided with a positioning means B for placing a holder H in a designated position of an X-Y table and positioning a lens 10 to be cut placed on the holder H to be disposed symmetrically about he X-axis crossing the center of the lens in the longitudinal direction, and a Z-axis moving table for elevating a disk grinding wheel 1 vertically in the direction of Z-axis. A control means controls the X-Y table 3 so that the center k of the disk grinding wheel hung down by the Z-axis moving table is on the X-axis crossing the center of the lens 10 to be cut.
