摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patrol robot system capable of conducting a predetermined patrol activity allowing a robot to safely and surely travel even when a rail is steeply inclined or drawn in a vertical direction. SOLUTION: In this system, a remote operation robot main body is moved along the rail and conducts a variety of patrol. A nearly horizontal traveling mode by friction roller drive at a small inclination angle of the installed rail or a nearly vertical traveling mode by chain sprocket drive at a large inclination angle thereof are selectable. The system has a motor for traveling and driving the robot, a clutch and brake for nearly horizontal traveling, and a clutch and brake for nearly vertical traveling, and switches the traveling mode by switching the two types of clutches and brakes.
