PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart objectivity to a judge result by displaying the surface accuracy of the finish surface of a mold in a classification. SOLUTION: An apparatus for judging the finish surface of the mold is equipped with a surface light source 10 capable of irradiating the finish surface 21 of the mold 20, and the sheet 3 arranged to the front of the surface light source and having large and small characters (patterns) 8 printed thereon. On the basis of the image of the size of the character capable of being read by an inspector on the basis of the image of the character projected on the finish surface 21 of the mold by the surface light source 10, the surface accuracy of the finish surface of the mold is subjected to run marking to impart objectivity to the judge result.
