PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such phenomena that a washing operation is started in spite that a washing tank is not located at the housing location, and washing water leaks out, or the washing tank is pulled out during the washing operation, and the washing water leaks out from occurring. SOLUTION: This drawer type dishwasher is equipped with a box-shape washer main body 10, the washing tank 11, a holding mechanism (a movable cam 33, a fixing pin 31b, a spring 35 and so forth), and a locking mechanism (a solenoid 37, an arm 41 and so forth). In this case, the front surface of the washer main body 10 is opened. The washing tank 11 can be drawn out from the washer main body 10. The holding mechanism is engaged with the washing tank 11 which is returned to the housing location, and holds the washing tank at the housing location. The locking mechanism prohibits the holding mechanism from releasing the holding state during the washing operation.
