摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one side submerged arc welding method which is used for low temperature steel having a small Al content and mainly deoxidized with Mg and by which low temperature toughness of the weld zone is made excellent and good bead appearance can be obtained. SOLUTION: In this one side submerged arc welding method for steel for low temperature use containing, by mass, 0.0003 to 0.0050% Mg and <=0.01% Al, welding is performed by using flux having a component composition containing 15.0 to 30.0% MgO, 10.0 to 30.0% SiO2, 6.0 to 20.0% Al2O3, 3.0 to 13.0% CaO, 3.0 to 15.0% TiO2, 4.0 to 14.0% CaF2, <=4.0 Al and 0.2 to 0.6% B2O3 and having a basicity L of 1.2 to 1.7 and wire containing 0.01 to 0.1% C, 0.6 to 1.4% Mn, 2.0 to 4.0% Ni, 0.0005 to 0.03% Al, <=0.1% Si and <=0.005% N, and the balance Fe with impurities.
