PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a shaft with collar by which a groove can be formed even in a thin-walled collar, and the formation of the groove and the fixing of the collar to the shaft can be performed simultaneously in one step. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises a step of manufacturing a stock shaft and a plurality of collars 4-6 by the plastic working, and inserting and arranging the plurality of collars 4-6 in the stock shaft at required positions, a step of forming a groove such as a spool land groove 7 in an outer circumference of the collars 4 and 5, and a step of contracting the stock shaft to implement the plastic flow of the metal, forming an annular raised bar 9 having the diameter larger than the inside diameter of the collars 4-6 on both ends of the collars 4-6 and fixing the collars 4-6 to a shaft 3, and the second and third steps are performed in one operation by using a same form rolling die.
