PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image of excellent quality by improving an S/N ratio of a Doppler ultrasonograph for measuring bloodstream velocity or the like. SOLUTION: This Doppler ultrasonograph is provided with a first amplifier and a second amplifier which are variable amplifiers, an amplitude detector for detecting the amplitude of receive signals, and a gain control part for adjusting the amplification factor of the first amplifier to such an amplification factor that a receive signal of amplitude level relieved from saturation is outputted from the first amplifier, and adjusting the amplification factor of the second amplifier so that the total amplification factor of the amplification factors of the first and second amplifiers becomes a specified amplification factor, on the basis of the amplitude of the receive signal detected by the amplitude detector.
