PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystalline resin pellet having excellent stability, operability and good processability at a manufacturing time in good yield by stably drawing a string-like material at the manufacturing time. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystalline resin pellet comprises the steps of extruding a liquid crystalline resin containing a liquid crystalline polymer in a string-like state from a molten state, cooling to solidify the resin, and cutting the obtained string-like material. A shearing speed of the resin per one hole of a die of an extruder to be used is in a range of 500/s to 5,000/s when the speed is calculated by the formula, wherein Q is a discharging amount (production amount per unit hour) (kg/hr),σis a density (g/cm3), n is a number of dies of the used extruder, D is a diameter (mm) of the die, andπis a circular constant. |
