PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for a polyester container from which a cause for accelerating the adhesion of a resin to the inner surface of the mold is removed, and which prevents the adhesion of a polyester resin, an oligomer or an additive from reducing a change in the shape of the container after mold release and manufacturing the polyester container excellent in glossiness and transparency. SOLUTION: The mold for the polyester container is constituted so that a hard layer comprising a metal or a compound thereof is provided on the metal base material of a molding surface and an antistaining layer is provided on the hard layer and the average surface roughness (Ra) of the antistaining layer is set to Ra 0.1μm (JIS B 0601-1994).
