PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a tooth space between stepped parts in the accurate position without deviating it in the circumferential direction. SOLUTION: This helical broaching method is provided with a process of machining stepped parts 4, 4' having the wide groove width, a process of forming a part 5' of a tooth space having the narrow width while guiding the wall surfaces of the machined stepped parts 4, 4', and a process of forming the tooth space having the desired depth and the narrow width while guiding the wall surface of the part 5' of the tooth space having the narrow width. Therefore, a blade formed in the tooth space can be prevented from being circumferentially deviated, and a high-precise internal tooth can be reliably and easily formed.
