PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interpolation pipe constituted so that the stress applied to the interpolation pipe main body when the interpolation pipe main body is inserted in an existing pipe in order to enew the existing pipe having a small caliber is reduced to reduce the damage of the interpolation pipe main body and strain is reduced even when the cross sectional shape of the interpolation pipe main body is restored to a circular shape under heating and pressure, and a method for inserting the interpolation pipe, reducing the labor of construction. SOLUTION: The interpolation pipe inserted in piping to be arranged therein is characterized by that a drawing pipe comprising an elastic synthetic resin and having a reinforcing stripe axially arranged thereto is mounted in the recessed groove of the interpolation pipe main body made of a synthetic resin flattened so as to have an almost C-shaped cross section to be folded in a shape having the recessed groove along the axial direction thereof and capable of being restored to a circular shape in its cross-sectional shape by heating and/or internal pressure. In the method for inserting the interpolation pipe, one end of the interpolation pipe is inserted in the piping from one end thereof and the drawing pipe is brought into contact with the interpolation pipe main body under pressure by introducing air into the drawing pipe under pressure and the drawing stripe fixed to one end of the drawing pipe is used to draw the drawing pipe.
