PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce a burden on the standing-up action of a seated person. SOLUTION: In a sofa, a seat mounted in a forward inclinable and vertically movable state through an energizing means 20 above a base frame 18 is supported and fixed by applying energizing force in a forward inclining or/and vertically moving direction by compressing the means 20 by the load of the seated person when he/she is seated. In the case of standing up, the supporting/ fixing of the seat 10 is released to tilt forward or/and raise the seat 10 by the energizing force of the means 20 applied in the forward inclining or/and vertically moving direction. Thus, standing up action by the seated person is supported.
