PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a 1st member and a 2nd member from the intrusion of water in a fishing reel having a closeable display device. SOLUTION: The depth displaying device 4 is provided with the 1st member 4a, the 2nd member 4b having a displaying part 5 and a switch operation part 6 at a side opposite to the 1st member 4a and a connection member 4c composed of a 1st hinge part 50a and a 2nd hinge part 50b and connecting the 1st member 4a and the 2nd member 4b in a freely swingable manner. The 1st hinge part 50a and the 2nd hinge part 50b are provided with a 1st passing part 51a and a 2nd passing part 51b for passing a wire member 60. The 1st hinge part 50a and the 2nd hinge part 50b contain a 1st water-proofing member 70a and a 2nd water-proofing member 70b extending from the 1st passing part 51a and the 2nd passing part 51b to the inner parts of the 1st hinge part 50a and the 2nd hinge part 50b.
