PURPOSE: A method for operating a virtual bank using the Internet is provided to convert mileage of a user into cash and to use the cash using a mileage system of the Internet and various service companies. CONSTITUTION: A log-in of a client being connected to a server computer supplying a service is controlled through a communication unit(S1). Financial transaction requesting information being supplied through a communication unit from the client checked as a valid user through a log-in process is received and analyzed(S2). Inherent information and the current accumulated amount of mileage of the corresponding client are read from a user database(S3). It is judged whether financial transaction requesting information necessary for buying a commodity or moving an amount to other bank may be processed(S4). Cash expenditure caused by buying a commodity, a depositing process according to a mileage accumulation, or a depositing/paying process to other bank is performed in accordance with transaction requesting information of a client who can perform a financial transaction(S5). The above performing result is notified to the client by transmitting a message to the client and mileage information stored in a database of the corresponding client is modified(S6).
