REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM OF REFRIGERATOR USING NETWORK AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A remote control system of a refrigerator using a network is provided to keep food fresh in a refrigerator even though a user moves out of a house for a long time, by controlling the refrigerator through a remote control system. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator(50) consists of a refrigerating system(64) having the original refrigerating function of a refrigerator; a memory(54) saving the control set value of the refrigerator; and a control unit(52) controlling the refrigerating system according to the set value of the memory. The refrigerator additionally includes a network interface(56) for communication with a server. The network interface is a part for transmitting/receiving data. If a user inputs specific control set value through the server, the control signal of the refrigerator is received to the network interface according to control of the server. The signal is converted into a data format available for the control unit in an interpreter(58) and then transmitted to the control unit. The control unit updates the set value of the memory according to the received control signal to control the refrigerating system. Thereby, the user away from a house controls the refrigerator.
